Introduction to Stick Welding (SMAW)

Class Description

This beginner-friendly class introduces the basic operation of stick welding (SMAW) along with an overview of essential shop tools and welding equipment. This class is for anyone who wants to get a hands-on feel for the welding world.

What to bring/wear:

- Leather shoes are required

- Long pants (denim recommended).

- Any work shirt or hoodie is fine

- Expect some heat and the possibility of minor sparks or burns.

Protective sleeves will be provided for anyone wearing short sleeves. Welding hoods and gloves are also supplied.

Registration:

Please register at least 24 hours in advance!

There is a $5 non-refundable registration fee, the remainder of the class price is collected the day of the class.

Class cost: $100

Class length: 2.5 hours

Instructor Bio

Bobby has been teaching his craft for 3 years and values a humorous, welcoming and lighthearted environment where students can feel comfortable, have fun, and pick up valuable new skills.
