Intro to Blacksmithing: Make Your Own Coat Hook

Class Description

Join Bobby Walker for a 2.5-hour hands-on blacksmithing course where you’ll learn the fundamentals of forging and essential shop safety. This small, interactive class is designed for beginners!

You will learn basic forging techniques, rudimentary metallurgy, shop safety practices, and how to shape and forge metal. You’ll leave this class with your own hand-forged coat hook(s), crafted entirely by you!

All materials and tools are provided — just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure!

Please wear closed toed shoes (leather preferred)

Class cost: $100

Class length: 2.5 hours

Please register at least 48 hours in advance.

There is a $5 non-refundable registration fee, the remainder of the class price is collected the day of the class.

Bobby has been teaching his craft for 3 years and values a humorous, welcoming and lighthearted environment where students can feel comfortable, have fun, and pick up valuable new skills.
